The Lorenzo da Viterbo Academy of Fine Arts (ABAV) is committed to implementing a comprehensive
strategy to strengthen the educational development and learning pathways of its students, fostering
professional awareness and preparing them for careers in the arts. Central to this strategy is the
provision of personalized educational and training experiences that align with the individual aptitudes
and aspirations of each student.
To ensure students are fully supported during their Erasmus journey, the Academy has developed a
structured guidance process. Students complete a detailed form outlining their goals and interests,
enabling the Erasmus Office’s dedicated teaching and orientation staff to provide tailored assistance
throughout the mobility experience. This approach aims to maximize the educational impact of the
Erasmus program while ensuring students gain meaningful academic, cultural, and professional
benefits.
The Erasmus program offers an exceptional opportunity for students to spend a study period of 3 to
10 months at one of the partner universities or academies with which ABAV has established bilateral
agreements. These mobility experiences are designed to immerse students in diverse artistic
environments, encourage intercultural dialogue, and enhance their creative and professional skills
through exposure to innovative teaching methods and new cultural perspectives.
To broaden accessibility, ABAV collaborates with DISCOLAZIO, providing students with opportunities
to apply for scholarships that support participation in Erasmus mobility. This partnership not only
reduces financial barriers but also underscores the Academy’s commitment to inclusivity and equity in
international education.
The strategic objectives of ABAV’s mobility initiatives include fostering the internationalization of its
academic programs, enhancing the employability of its graduates, and establishing long-lasting
partnerships with leading institutions across Europe. By empowering students to engage in
transformative experiences abroad, ABAV seeks to cultivate a new generation of artists who are both
globally aware and professionally adept.
The impact of this mobility strategy extends beyond the individual, contributing to the Academy’s goal
of building a robust network of international cooperation. This network enriches the cultural and
academic exchange among institutions, elevates the quality of artistic education, and reinforces the
role of the arts as a catalyst for innovation, inclusion, and cross-cultural understanding.
